Coming next year!

It’s been a thrill to work as a set carpenter at Laika for the past five years. I’ll be adding photos here of some of the work I’ve done after Wildwood is officially released.

 Ice!

Ice! was a long-running annual attraction hosted at Gaylord Marriott Hotels in Washington DC, Nashville, Orlando, and Houston. Artisan ice carvers sculpted colorful scenes depicting the storylines of beloved Christmas stories. As the digital fabrication specialist at Hotopp Associates, the firm that designed these shows, I worked in the construction of any scenic material that could not be sculpted out of ice. This included suspended snowflake mobiles, felt eyes and mouths, and a wide variety of small props.

Another project I took part in at Hotopp Associates was the fabrication of broadcast studio sets for NBC Sports Northwest in Portland OR. These builds required a mix of traditional set carpentry and digital fabrication.
